Our big break came in 1990 to begin working with the NY Marriott Marquis in Times Square to train the new hotel’s Loss Prevention Officers in a comprehensive twenty-four (24) hour professional level CPR and First Aid Program. We still work with them and offer their officers “Bleeding and Trauma Training.” Our company continued to grow to train many of the Independent Schools of NYC’s athletic staff, and Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) coaches in the NYS First Aid for Sports Coaches Curriculum (see coaches information), as well as their support staff and faculty. Social service agencies and community programs, medical professionals and camps are additional groups that we serve.
Onsite training is comprised of groups of eight (8) or more in a client’s location, scheduled at a time that is most convenient for their business operation.
Courses offered usually include a range of CPR programs Infant/Child/Adult/AED depending on the company’s request/requirement and Basic First Aid. We can combine the two programs in one business day or split into two sessions as needed. We provide a minimum ratio of one (1) manikin and AED trainer for two (2) individuals, textbooks and all training equipment necessary to conduct the program. The certifications can be transmitted as PDF certifications if time is of the essence for the clients, but normally printed wallet cards are issued and sent to the client for distribution to their staff.
Triage Trauma/Bleeding Control classes will focus on readiness, the triage and application of First Aid skills.
Basic external bleeding control, abrasions/avulsions/lacerations, facial injuries to the nose, mouth and teeth.
Advanced care for amputation, impaled/embedded objects, abdominal/pelvic/chest trauma situations.
Complex trauma situations requiring the use of a tourniquet.
Breathing assistance for the unconscious victim with the bag valve mask.
Epinephrine by Auto-Injector New York State Public Health Law, Article 30 Section 3000-c. For school/camp personnel, without a license or certification to administer an Epinephrine Auto-Injector in life-threatening situations.
Small group training for your soon to be High School graduates to complete the HS graduation requirement for health class of - Hands only chest compressions (CPR) and use of an AED.
We are pleased that New York State has finally recognized the necessity for all high school students to receive training in CPR prior to graduation. NYS was the 26th state to add CPR/AED practical experience to the high school graduation requirements. LIFESAVING ENTERPRISES has conducted a variety of CPR/AED and First Aid programs for many of the NYC independent schools since 1989. We have a variety of offerings that can fulfill the NYS requirements, of course a full certification program (3 hours) is most beneficial, or we can provide a seminar version 50 minutes to two hours. We utilize equipment with feedback devices and provide a small ratio of student to equipment 1:2 or 1:1. We are able to customize programming to fit your time and budget.
